“ We like to go to the Pita Grill to get our Lamb-Beef Gyros with a side of Hummus. The place is simple, but the food is good. Super friendly Staff, but basically without table service. They bring the food to the table and you are on your own, which works well for us. ”
“ Have faithfully been coming here for a few years now, including yesterday! This review is only relevant for the food items listed below, as we have only ordered the same few items on the menu. For meat, their chicken kabob is literally the best thing on their menu (flavorful, DARK meat, fairly consistently juicy). Beef kafta is also juicy and flavorful. We have had inconsistent/disappointing experiences with the other meat options. Can't speak to the other mains as we still haven't ordered them after all these years. For sides, we love the spicy potatoes, hummus, & babaghanoush. House salad is the veg I go with when I want something lighter and refreshing. Their roasted veggies can be mushy. Their rice is good, but they're very generous with the pita bread so we don't usually order it. Garlic sauce and spicy sauce are a must. Note, the spicy sauce is on the sour side, but so good. Staff are nice. They have indoor and outdoor seating available and their own private parking lot. Restrooms are available, The mop is stored in the women's room so it smells strongly of cleaning solution. Sometimes food can take a while to come out if it's busy or if there's a large order. If you can, call in your order in advance whether you're dining in or taking it to-go. Overall, we are surprised they don't have more business! ”
“ Oh, No! I can’t believe you are temporarily closed. Having been hospitalized for over a year, the first thing I wanted after getting better was a huge plate of everything I had missed! Bad enough I live in San Pedro, don’t drive, so it was always difficult to get to your places! Please let me know when you are open again. Your food is absolutely wonderful! ”
“ I ordered it online and have to say it is delicious, and the size and packaging are perfect. It is tasty and fresh, and it has that homemade flavor! Maybe next time I will visit the restaurant, but for now, I am happy to recommend it. ”
“ Interior visuals are not that great but the good choices and taste is interesting and uses proper Mediterranean recipes. I loved the chicken and beef beriani plate, the sides and sauce had the right consistency. ... ”
“ Food here is always fresh and tasty. All proteins are rich with flavor. I love the Salmon dish, portions are great, service is good. ”
“ I normally don't write very many reviews, but I feel compelled because I have had La Zeez so many times... and it is consistently SO good! I've driven past them for years, and one day decided to order on GrubHub. Best decision ever. Their beef and lamb gyro is out of this world delicious! You can tell everything is fresh and they care about the ingredients. I have never had a more juicy gyro in my life than La Zeez. I was always very impressed with the quality of the meat. I started craving them, and would order quite frequently for delivery. Today I had a doctor's appointment and I was excited because I knew it was right down the street, so I stopped in for the first time. There's a few places to sit and eat, but it looks like takeout is their main thing. The man who took my order was very friendly! The person before me asked if there was anything with ground beef and I heard the cashier say what he wanted wasn't ground beef, but he would be happy to grind the beef for him. I thought that was pretty cool that they would go to that extra effort to make a customer happy. I believe they are a family owned business, and I saw a woman in the back cooking, and she smiled at me when we met eyes. The wait wasn't long at all, and there are benches to sit on as well. Everything looked and felt clean as when I was looking around. But my goodness, the food! It was so good! Getting it super hot and fresh is awesome, however their delivery is consistently just as good! Thank you La Zeez for your great service and excellent food! ”
“ Pretty good solid Middle Eastern Halal food, the Palestinian owner is nice and his food shows the love he has for cooking, the chicken and beef Kafta’s were juicy! The juices were dripping that’s how good it was, the spicy potatoes made for a spicy side to the meal and the hummus and pita was up there with some of the best hummus I’ve had before, finished off with baklava which was also very good. The artwork was also pretty amazing touch to owner’s Palestinian roots. Lastly wanted to credit the nice young Syrian cashier who attended me, guy was pretty cool and took my order fast and my order didn’t take long to come out. ”
